Professional projects require adequate preparation and planning. Full knowledge of the environment, technology of implementation, the expected impact on the environment, etc. - is important. Without this knowledge it is not possible to take an adequate decision on the project. All this information represents, analyzes and summarizes the feasibility study.

  • Management who need to understand how finances of the entity will look like as a result of investment implementation
  • Institutions that basing on data from feasibility study provide funding for investment projects

What are the aims of feasibility study?

The study should include four elements regardless of the type of project: description of the action, description of the technical feasibility, planned economic viability and institutional feasibility:

  • Part describing acting strategy presents a need for the project, its objectives, can analyze and choose between different options of investment implementation,
  • Technical feasibility is a detailed description of all aspects of technology of project execution,
  • Economical part describes investment budget, includes simulation of financial statements, indicator analysis, calculates the value of the investment,
  • Institutional viability focuses on important legal aspects of the investment, analyzes possible impact of the investment on an environment, summarizes the investor's organizational structure, appoints responsible persons for implementation of the investment, sums up the principle of maintenance and usage of the investment, etc.

What is the sample structure of feasibility study?

Feasibility study is a document preparation of which should be usually made in accordance to defined guidelines. These guidelines however, essentially differ from each other depending on the nature of the project (public, private, revenue-generating or loss-generating, etc.), type of funding (if the investor applies for it), the investment partners, the location of the project. Moreover, different projects require different approach merits. That is why we do not present here sample structure of a feasibility study - content to develop each time is set individually.
We develop a feasibility study in accordance with the guidelines:

  • for obtaining grants from European Union structural funds, in particular - for projects implemented under the ROP in various provinces
  • for obtaining funds from tied aid in accordance with OECD guidelines,
  • for obtaining so-called technological credit,
  • within the framework of development projects - for various purposes,
  • when applying for any other funding and in accordance with the guidelines of the investor.
